Boomi On Demand offers the first complete integration solution delivered in an on-demand model, breaking the barrier to SaaS adoption for companies of all sizes and marking the end of the software approach to integration. "Prior to incorporating Boomi into our price optimization solution, our people had a much more painful task of securing customer data for our solution," explained Todd P. Michaud, president and CEO of Revionics. "We evaluated several integration solutions and found that Boomi offers superior technology combined with an affordable cost structure. After a successful pilot with Boomi, we're excited to roll this solution out in a production environment, and we anticipate a substantial ROI." Partners Speak Out About Boomi On Demand In addition to the positive feedback from the beta customer community, numerous partners have begun working with Boomi On Demand to meet their customers' integration needs.
Snug with grand views
Seven months after Bob Caldwell became a widower, the next chapter in his life unfolded quickly. He placed his home and two acres of land in Bowie on the market, setting in motion a major change in lifestyle. "I took a contract on the Bowie house Sept. 15, began house hunting in Baltimore on Sept. 18, bought this house the next day and settled on Oct. 1," said Caldwell, 56, a warehouse supervisor for Giant Food in Jessup. That two-week whirlwind brought Caldwell a two-story, brick rowhouse on Fort Avenue in South Baltimore's Locust Point, landing him back in the city where he grew up and visited regularly to see friends and attend Ravens games. .
First, Step Up
With no money and no organization, seven of us launched StepItUp in January 2007. Before the year was out, we'd helped organize 2,000 demonstrations in all 50 states-and helped take our once-radical demand for an 80 percent reduction in U.S. carbon emissions by mid-century into the halls of power. We haven't won yet-but we're way beyond what we could have expected when we began. Last November, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stood at a podium in front of 7,000 college students gathered from around the country at the University of Maryland and led them in a chant: "80 percent by 2050." I'm as cynical as the next guy, but it feels like our democracy is starting to work. It will need to work much better, though. We'll need to see a whole new level of commitment-to nonviolent protest, to electioneering, to endless lobbying.

We have become a family of chargers. Not the credit card variety, but the cell phone, digital camera battery, ipod kind of chargers. That's why one of my favorite Christmas presents not only helped me organize those electric items, but also made a corner of my kitchen look better. The multi-charging unit, painted white, just like my woodwork, fits neatly in a space on the counter and hides a power strip inside. I plug in the unsightly chargers and all I can see are the tiny plug-ins. At night, we line up our electronic neccessities and know right where they are every morning, charged up and ready to go. It makes me feel so twenty-first century. .

A number of high-profile locals, who had medical procedures done at the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada, have also been contacted, according to sources in the medical community. "Entertainers were among those notified," said a source. "It (the center) was the largest endoscopy group in town." About 40,000 patients have been advised to get blood tests due to possible exposure to hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, because of the center's medical practices from March 2004 to Jan. 11. The L.A. Times descends into civil war!
Never needs changing. Like a fluorescent bulb! ... 5:48 P.M. Dissing the Disgruntled! Grazer-Gate Update: A summary of the L.A.Times' second-time-farce scandal is here. The most recent at-bats ... Resigned editorial page editor Andres Martinez says the paper's newly-arrived editor and publisher caved to a disgruntled newsroom that is annoyed at [the paper's owners in] Chicago, annoyed at them and annoyed at the autonomy of the opinion pages. The newsroom unrest, Martinez says, is partly "ideological" (the news pages presumably being more conventionally liberal than his editorial page), partly "a matter of bureaucratic culture," and some of it a personnel matter (there are some embittered former editorial board members that Kinsley and Carroll sent off to the newsroom).
