LINUX Web hosting is one of the most successful and popular Web hosting platforms ever. Its success has made it a standard. Depending on which report you read, only the Windows platform offers any threat to its supremacy. Given its success, LINUX has been adopted by the bulk of the worlds Web hosts who offer it either as an exclusive solution, or an option to choose from alongside Windows. With such a plethora of Web hosts offering LINUX, finding a good LINUX host becomes increasingly difficult. Fortunately, FindLinuxHost.com (http://www.findlinuxhost.com), a new Web site launched earlier this month, helps make the job a bit easier. Like the other sites in the series, FindLinuxHost.com provides a number of search options for users. Project at ORU hung up
People please because of the rumors you are spreading. You never know who is looking at these blogs or who is really just trying to keep this mess going. --------------------------------------------993. 11/6/2007 1:13:44 PM, sojourner, Adair#963 Been ThereVictory was my home church.. I took my tithe to my home church for years. When the roof of our home went up in flames leaving us homeless. we of course looked to our church for help. My husband called and they ran a check on our "records". They said that since their records showed we had not given in the last 6 months, (which was true, we had lost our company and were living with my brother, who was helping us), they refused to help us, and gave us the phone number to Dept. of Human Services a.k.a. WELFARE, i kid you not!! So what is your answer to all of these millions of americans who attend these megachurches, that they should not consider it their home church?? They told us that was our church too...
Children's tours span from art exhibit to library checkout
Noontime at the Missoula Public Library won't mean a lunch break for our Youth Services librarians, not for the next three months anyway. The library is once again hosting tours for every fifth-grade class in Missoula as part of our annual partnership with the Missoula Art Museum. The students begin their journey at the museum, where this year they are being treated to an exhibit by David Shaner, one of Montana's great ceramic artists. They have a chance to create some hands-on artwork before walking the few blocks to the library for a selection of books related to ceramics and a tour of the library's collection."Our hope is that by targeting one grade over a period of many years every public school student in Missoula County will have been to the library at least once," says children's librarian Karen Gonzales.
Saturday afternoon Apple links, Guitar Hero edition
Sadly, the links this week won't feature any ridiculous Internet memes, but hopefully you'll be so excited that I'm back to doing the links that you won't miss them. Without further ado, here are all of Apple inks that we couldn't coerce into other posts: If you rock at Guitar Hero III, developer Aspyr is giving you a chance to show off your skills, and will be holding a series of Guitar Hero III tournaments at Apple Stores across the country. Tournaments will be held in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York, as well as a bunch of other cities, so check the website of your local store for details. Wireless memory card Eye-Fi received a software update this week. The update includes a new "Smart Boost" feature, which will upload photos to the Web via your computer, allowing you to take advantage of Wi-Fi speeds to get photos off of your camera.
Final release of Skype 2.7 for Mac brings Leopard stability
When it comes to companies keeping their Mac software on par with their Windows offerings, Skype (unlike Yahoo) has always done a pretty decent job. Skype for Mac 2.7 beta was a solid beta release that included address book integration, contact grouping, and a few other nifty features. It's been a while since the beta was released, though, so it should come as no surprise that the company finally made the update official by releasing Skype 2.7 for Mac this week. If you've been using the beta releases, most of the features I mentioned above won't come as a surprise to you. However, since the August beta, Skype 2.7 has also gained a better-quality default resolution (640x480) for video and mobile indicators, as well as more volume adjustment options and a few contact group tweaks.
